Quick Facts
New for 2026-2027
All PoCo Bowl YBC divisions will now bowl on Monday evenings. Bringing the complete youth program together on one night creates a simpler weekly routine, a stronger bowling community, more consistent coaching and communication, and more opportunities to celebrate progress together.
No Thursday or Saturday YBC Leagues
There will be no Thursday or Saturday YBC leagues during the 2026-2027 season. All divisions participate on Monday evenings only.
Bowlasaurus, Jets & Bantam
Warm-up begins at 5:15 PM. League play starts at 5:30 PM every Monday.
Junior / Senior
Warm-up begins at 6:15 PM. League play starts at 6:30 PM every Monday.
One Community. Four Divisions.
Every bowler participates on the same night, building a stronger, more connected bowling community throughout the season.
Why Join PoCo Bowl YBC?
More Than a Weekly Bowling League
PoCo Bowl YBC gives young people a place to participate, improve, connect, and belong. Unlike sports where participants may spend much of the game waiting on a bench, bowlers are actively involved throughout their league session.
Build Real Skills
Learn five-pin bowling fundamentals, improve technique, set goals, and see progress throughout the season.
Grow Confidence
Bowlers learn to handle challenges, celebrate improvement, and become more independent on the lanes.
Make Connections
Join a welcoming Monday-night bowling community with other bowlers, coaches, volunteers, and staff.
Explore New Opportunities
Depending on division, eligibility, performance, and program rules, bowlers may have opportunities to participate in special events, tournaments, provincial competition, national championships, awards, and scholarships.
Some bowlers join to learn, stay active, and build confidence. Others choose to pursue tournaments and competitive goals.
Competition is an opportunity — not a requirement for belonging.
Which Division Should I Choose?
Division is determined by the bowler’s age on December 31, 2026. Use the bowler’s date of birth to select the correct division. A birthday during the season does not change their division.
Senior: born 2007–2011
PoCo Bowl will verify the division using the date of birth entered on the registration form.

Understanding Your Fees
The $75 Annual Registration Fee Includes
- One official PoCo Bowl YBC uniform shirt
- Bowl BC and Bowl Canada registration fees
- League registration and administration
Additional official uniform shirts may be ordered during registration for $40 each. Sweatshirts, jackets, socks, bowling kits, ball bags, and other merchandise will be offered through a separate pre-Christmas order after products, pricing, and size information are confirmed.
How the Chocolate Case Works
Every registered bowler participates in the required Youth Bowl Canada chocolate fundraiser.
- One case of chocolate per bowler
- 30 packages per case
- Selling price: $5 per package
- Total case value: $150
The $150 chocolate amount appears on your Square invoice. Your household keeps the money collected from chocolate sales. Selling all 30 packages produces $150 and offsets the complete chocolate charge. The chocolate amount is not separately refunded by PoCo Bowl — it is recovered directly through the household’s sales.

Where Bowling Can Lead
Learn and Belong
Develop fundamentals, become comfortable on the lanes, build confidence, and become part of a positive weekly bowling community.
Improve and Compete
Set goals, track progress, develop sportsmanship, and explore house events, tournaments, and qualifying opportunities.
Represent and Celebrate
Eligible bowlers may have opportunities to represent PoCo Bowl, participate in provincial or national competition, and receive awards or scholarship recognition.
Tournament, provincial, national, award, and scholarship opportunities depend on division, eligibility, performance, and the rules of each program. Weekly league participation does not guarantee advancement.
Supporting Every Bowler
Help us create a successful season. Every bowler is different. The registration form gives parents and guardians a place to share relevant information that will help PoCo Bowl provide a safe, welcoming, and positive experience.
Information you can share includes:
- Allergies or relevant medical needs
- Emergency medication
- Accessibility or mobility needs
- Sensory considerations
- Communication preferences
- Confidence or social support
- Learning style
- Behaviour supports
- Previous experiences that staff or coaches should understand
Sharing support information does not reduce a bowler’s opportunity to participate. It helps staff, coaches, and approved volunteers prepare.
